James Stevenson Bretton, producer at Blinkink in London: “We really wanted to create our own music video rather than pastiching pre-existing ones, and it was great being able to employ the visual language of big expensive music videos on a much smaller scale. It meant we could do things we’d never have been able to do on a normal scale, like build a 40-foot high video wall out of pink phones. “It was a challenge creating sets and outfits as visually punchy as possible on such a small scale. The dolls had to be modified quite a lot by our mega-talented puppeteers. We also used the talents of hair stylist/designer-to-the-stars Charlie Le Mindu and super-stylist Anna Trevelyan to help us make our dolls.“ Schedule: six weeks.
