London Vigil for Children killed in Gaza

Hundreds of people gathered outside Downing Street in London on Saturday afternoon for a vigil mourning the lives of children and families killed in Gaza by Israeli Air Strikes. A list of just some of the names of children killed in Gaza was read out, so far the death toll of Palestinians killed in Israel’s war on Gaza over the past six weeks has surpassed 12,000, the vast majority of whom are women and children. Mourners at the vigil in London, many of whom were families with children, brought with them baby bottles, toys, candles and flowers to represent what remains behind from the children who were killed in Gaza. Calls and chants for a “Ceasefire now!” were renewed at the vigil. A young Palestinian girl who lives in London said: “families and children did not just turn homeless, but were killed, injured and lost so many family members by the brutal Israeli attacks. “And because there is no food, water, electricity or any kind of medicine, they are all just suffering, but with lots of faith”. As the vigil, organised by the Palestinian Forum in Britain was being held, news began to come in of the Israeli air strike, on the United Nations-run al-Fakhoura school in northern Gaza, that killed at least 50 people according to a health official in Gaza. The school was being used as a shelter by hundreds of Palestinians. 🎥: Ayah El-Khaldi/MEE Subscribe to our channel: Subscribe to MEE Telegram channel to stay up to date: Middle East Eye Website: Follow us on TikTok: @middleeasteye Follow us on Instagram: Like us on Facebook: Follow us on Twitter:
