“How About You Stop The Marches?” Sadiq Khan Appeals For Support To Fund Protest Costs
London Mayor Sadiq Khan has appealed for support after stating in a letter to Home Secretary James Cleverly that the police funding gap could be as high as £240 million, due to the high number of protests in London.
Pro-Palestinian and environmental protest marches have taken place across the capital city for a number of consecutive weekends.
Met police commissioner Sir Mark Rowley has said that “more than 28,000 officer shifts have been completed in connection to protests and vigils,“ since October 7th.
