China-made Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway in Indonesia kicks off joint commissioning and testing
The Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway (HSR) in Indonesia commenced joint commissioning and testing on Monday, a significant step forward to a smooth operation of the entire line in June.
Covering a distance of 142.3 km and designed to operate at a speed of 350 km per hour, this railway system will significantly shorten the travel duration between Jakarta and Bandung from over three hours to about 40 minutes.
All civil engineering tasks, including the construction of roadbeds, bridges, culverts, and tunnels, have been successfully finished.
Following the completion of joint commissioning and testing, further running trials and safety assessments will take place before the official start of operations.
