To cope with the complicated geological and climatic conditions along the railway, the Chinese and Indonesian builders carried out careful surveys before building 56 bridges and 13 tunnels along the line to withstand adverse geological conditions. The trains are equipped with intelligent sensing technology and earthquake monitoring and early warning systems. The body of each train is also resistant to fog and ultraviolet aging.
