Omicron spreading faster than Delta and vaccinated/recovered more likely to be infected - WHO chief

And it’s more likely that people who have been vaccinated or have recovered from COVID-19 could be infected or re-infected,“ Ghebreyesus said. The WHO also called on people to cancel or delay events in the interest of slowing the spread of the virus and asked countries to focus on vaccinating the unvaccinated instead of putting all hope into booster vaccine campaigns as unvaccinated patients still take up more ICU beds globally.
