Carl Reinecke plays Beethoven, Ecossaise in E flat Major

Recorded by Carl Reinecke - 21 January 1905, Leipzig. Reinecke was a friend of Schumann, was helped in his career by Mendelssohn, knew Brahms as a young man, and probably heard Chopin play in Paris. His first concert tour, of Scandinavia, took place in 1843. He taught, amongst others, Albeniz, Grieg, Karg-Elert, Sinding, Sullivan, Thalberg and Cosima Wagner.
