I found this bench in the excellent Pinterest service, I often go there to get inspired. This bench will most likely be in my sister’s sauna, where our mother goes to relax every week. True, I already made a bench for a sauna not so long ago, but my sister decided that she should stand in the house) I decided to make this bench even larger, more stable, from a beam of 100 mm, so that, being in a humid environment, the tree would last as long as possible. I decided to use 40 mm boards for sitting, and in order to sit comfortably on them, I must round off the ends of the board with an edge cutter and a hand router. The boards for the sitting have been drying for about a year, and for the bench sides I have used a completely dry board which is probably already 10 years old, it has a pleasant color and an incredible wood pattern. I dismissed the boards on my sawing machine and passed them through a thickness gauge. I ripped it off on a saw and connected it to 20 mm dowels, for reliability I reinsured myself and tightened self-tapping screws 80 mm long. I also liked the bench with its colors, the legs and the seat are tinted in different colors, this gives an unusual but pleasant look. In my opinion, the bench will last more than a dozen years.
