Applying Rudiments to Fills & Musical Phrases | 32nd Note Flow Lesson

I couldn’t call this ’The Key to Flow’ on the Drums because I think there is definitely more than one. However, Rudiments on the Kit are a MASSIVE part of Flowing Around the Drums. In this lesson, I’ll explain how there are certain Rudiments which have ’rhythmic tendencies’, which, when you learn and know inside out, can be applied in Fill and Solo contexts to create monster drum fills which accent the Stabs, Musical Phrases, and Ensemble Figures of the Music. Learn what the most common Rudiments (in straight time) used in Fills and solos are, and how you can apply them to your Fills and Musical Phrases in this lesson. This lesson focuses on 32nd Notes and 32nd Note Flow, and in particular, focuses on Rudiments and how these can be applied in that context.
