ASEZ WAO Campaign 6. Reduce Plastic Use DIY--Making Eco-Friendly Handbags and Scrubb 《Church of God》

ASEZ WAO held a beneficial and enjoyable DIY event to encourage an eco-friendly lifestyle in New Windsor, New York, U.S. to reduce the use of plastic, on January 26, 2020. Through the DIY event, T-shirts that are no longer worn are recycled to make handbags and scrubbing pads. Members of ASEZ WAO branch in New York and the participants practiced an eco-friendly lifestyle by recycling T-shirts to make handbags and pads. Through DIY, ASEZ WAO encourages people to rethink, reuse, use less, and recycle. In the eco-friendly event, even adults and children who weren’t good at sewing could easily participate, which gave them a positive awareness of recycling. After the DIY event, ASEZ WAO held the “No More GPGP“ seminar to warn people about the harmfulness of disposable plastics. “No More GPGP“ is ASEZ WAO’s plastic reduction project that collects 80,000 tons of plastic waste from the Great Pacific Garbage Patch [GPGP] located in the Pacific Ocean, and prevents any more garbage
