COVID-19: Saskatchewan proof of vaccination, negative test requirements ending Monday | FULL
Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe announced Tuesday that the province’s proof of vaccination or proof of negative test requirement in businesses, workplaces and other public venues would end as of 12:01 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 14.
He also advised that the mask mandate would remain in effect, however it would be removed at the end of February.
Currently, the province’s public health orders includes a isolation requirement for people infected with COVID-19, mandatory face masks in indoor public spaces, and a proof of vaccination or negative test requirement in most businesses. Most are set to expire at the end of February, though Moe has hinted on several occasions that they could be ended earlier.
Moe said the province was in a “strong position,“ with residents capable of assessing their own COVID-19 risks including with the use of rapid antigen tests.
