Chhau Dance | ছৌ নাচ | Folk Dance | UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of India
Chhau dance (Chau or Chhau or ছৌ নাচ) is an Indian tribal folk dance of India. It is included in UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of India. This is performed in the eastern Indian states of Odisha, Jharkhand and West Bengal. Chhau dance has three styles based on the location where they are performed . These are the Purulia Chau of Bengal, the Seraikella Chau of Jharkhand, and the Mayurbhanj Chau of Odisha. This folk dance was presented by Bangla Natok Dot Com at Sur Jahan 2018 by Jagannath Chowdhuri and his team of Purulia district of West Bengal, India.
