The Monte Carlo SS Aero coupe models were only produced in 1986 and 1987. Only 6,252 Areocoupe’s were produced making this a rare car. This Aero coupe looks stock but many high-performance parts are lurking below the metal body. An 383 Stroker with about 450 horsepower sits under the hood. It is equipped with a set of long tube Hooker headers, Magna Flow pipes and Flowmaster mufflers. The engine has approximately 4,000 miles since built. The engine is extensively chromed and boasts a set of Edelbrock aluminum heads, an Aeromotive fuel delivery system, with a MSD controlled Atomic fuel injection conversion sitting atop a polished Edelbrock RPM airgap intake manifold. The highly-detailed engine has an impressive polished March serpentine belt system holding the chrome a/c compressor, a new 105-amp chrome alternator and power steering pump in place. All the power is pushed through a brand-new Performa Built level one-pro street 700 R4 GM transmission. A FTI 2800 stall convertor is installed in the transmission. A Moser 12 bolt rear end package with 373 gears and an Eaton posi unit will get the rear wheels smoking. The rear end package has approximately 4,000 miles since installed. This Aerocoupe is in exceptional condition inside and out, ready for car shows and cruising. With only about 49,000 original miles this amazing Monte Carlo SS won’t last long.
