Palestinian mourners kick out Palestinian Authority leaders from funeral held for Jenin victims

Palestinian mourners kicked out Palestinian Authority leaders from a funeral held on Wednesday afternoon, for the victims of the Jenin offensive, which killed 12 people, including five children. Anger was directed toward PA leaders who had attended. Mourners were seen shouting at the officials, with many calling them “traitors“ and said their actions were “shameful“. A video recording shows the reaction of a member of the Fatah party’s central committee, Tawfiq al-Tirawi, as he says “when someone said something, we should have cut off his tongue!” Many Palestinians feel let down by the PA for its inaction following the start of the raid, which, over two days, damaged or destroyed more than 80 percent of homes in the camp and displaced some 4,000 people. Many parts of the Jenin camp have been reduced to rubble, with hospitals and places of worship also heavily damaged in the attacks Subscribe to our channel: Middle East Eye Website: Follow us on TikTok: @middleeasteye Follow us on Instagram: Like us on Facebook: Follow us on Twitter:
