Hinduism is the third-largest religion worldwide, with approximately 1.2 Bn Hindus in parts of world. However, Hinduism as dominant religion is followed in only three countries- India, Nepal and Mauritius. Hinduism is expanding its footprint in different parts of the world including the Oceania Continent. Recently, Australian Asst. Foreign Affairs Minister Tim Watts visited Nepal’s Pashupatinath Temple. He experienced its significance as a pilgrimage site for Hindus and others from across South Asia. Taking to Twitter, Australian MP Tim Watts said, “Hinduism is Australia’s fastest growing religion”. The diversity of modern Australia connects every part of the world, including South Asia, he added.
