Laparoscopic diaphragmatic hernia reduction in a dog
Laparoscopic reduction of a diaphragmatic hernia in a dog. The dog suffered diaphragmatic damage 2 months earlier during a wild boar hunt. After 2 months the distended stomach compressed the lungs causing marked dyspeena. After stabilization of the patient, we proceeded with laparoscopy and low pressure to reduce the hernia and reposition the stomach, spleen and pancreas inside the abdomen. Adhesions caused by trauma are resolved laparoscopically.
