Phillip Sear plays a wistful slow waltz by the Armenian composer Edvard Mirzoyan (1924-2012), from his ’Album pour ma petite fille’, a set of pieces written for his grand-daughter. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Armenian composer Edvard Mirzoyan ( Էդվարդ Միքայելի Միրզոյան ) (1921-2012) was born in Georgia, but studied music in Yerevan, and later Moscow. He taught at the Komitas State Conservatory in Yerevan, and was a long-time president of the Armenian Composers’ Union.
