Chicago police fire 96 times at suspect over seatbelt violation

A routine traffic stop for a seatbelt violation descended into a one-sided gun battle as police emptied nearly 100 rounds into a man in Chicago. Dexter Reed was stopped by a plain clothes police officer on March 21 after he was spotted, allegedly, not wearing a seatbelt. All officers involved have been placed on leave while the incident is investigated.
