“When Eric reached out to me about writing lyrics and vocals for “The Sown” he poured out his heart and soul about some very deep emotions and experiences. I could relate heavily with these experiences in my own life and I thought the concepts from Nightlark of sowing seeds was a beautiful metaphor for taking the time we need to heal from past pains. I love using metaphors a lot in my songs so already having a theme like this was perfect to write a full song with. Growing up playing traditional Irish folk music, I’ve always had a love for story telling and whenever someone gives me a topic and theme to write, the stories write themselves within me, I just have to catch them in time in the air as they pass by before they fly away!
