Anatomeasy is a series of tutorials I’m starting about the anatomy of different areas of the figure. A lot of the wonderful books and guidance out there about anatomy for artists is comprehensive and therefore quite complex! That’s a hard place to start. So I want to help you get started by seeing the things that really matter the most.
In this tutorial, we look at how the strange collection of bumps and indents on the shoulder and upper back can be simplified when you look for a few specific shapes. You can usually find those shapes, you just need to focus on a few clues!
