End Solitary Confinement - BobbyLee’s story

This is a short film about solitary confinement - a practice that UN has called tantamount to torture, yet we continue to practice in Canada. Solitary confinement, is the practice of locking a person in a small cell for up to 23 hours a day, sometimes indefinitely. Right now, there are more than 1,850 people in solitary confinement in federal or provincial prisons across Canada. The BC Civil Liberties Association and the John Howard Society of Canada have launched a constitutional challenge to end the use of solitary confinement in Canadian federal prisons. Please support their fight: Credits: Featuring BobbyLee Worm Directed by Kevin Eastwood Edited by Brendan Woollard Cinematography by Vince Arvidson & Simon Schneider Produced by Optic Nerve Films for the BC Civil Liberties Association
