The first song of the first demo of my Black Metal project Mournful Winter. Written in 2009 and recorded in 2014 in Dungeons of Darkness.
At the time of writing the first songs I was heavily influenced by Burzum, Darkthrone, Katatonia, Inquisition and Front Beast. While the influence of those classic acts like Iron Maiden, Motörhead, Black Sabbath and Judas Priest is and will always be present.
When writing music I aim for nothing more than writing music I really like.
If you like what you here I appreciate every kind of commenting, liking, hailing or sharing. Spread the black pest!

Into the Eternal Void
My lifeblood is draining away
Why are we walking these plains?
Every step brings you closer
To the edge of reality
Lifetime is just a grain of sand
In the eternal existence of time
Throwing an excoriating shadow
Burying my last ambitions
Into the Eternal Void
No return
Eternity
Consuming me
My mortal shell turns to dust
My soul gets lost in the void of eternity
Vanities deaden my feelings
Meandering all day long
Death is not the end
Only an unknown frontier
Darkness and emptiness wait for me
To consume the last essence of life in me
Into the Eternal Void
No return
Eternity
Consuming me
