Karl Culley may be one of the most underestimated figures of Cracow’s music scene - he has been quite active for quite a few years, discreetly showing up with his music on all sorts of events, but never actually demanding attention. His performance for Backyard Music beside the gate of the Barbican followed this unintrusive scheme - only those who passed him by really close were able to hear the music that our microphones were picking up, and even we, standing behind the cameras, couldn’t quite predict what
