The 90th Running of the Indianapolis 500 was held on Sunday, May 28, 2006, at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The race saw one of the most dramatic finishes in Indy 500 history. 19-year old rookie Marco Andretti battled Sam Hornish Jr. to the finish line.
