No title. Extreme C/U of man in a hat mouthing some words. He seems to be saying the following:
“I am going to say something to you now. Are you? Yes I am. A railway train left Kings Cross for Manchester, that’s right. There were 345 people on the train. When the train arrived at Crewe - that’s right - 245 people got off the train and 173 people got on the train. When the train arrived at Manchester, it was three hours late. What was the engine driver’s name?“ He puts his hand to his ear as if to hear the audience’s response “What? That’s right.“ He repeats the routine, this time in M/S - we see him from the chest up. “His name was Brown. What? Why? Because his father’s name is Brown.“ He smirks. “Never mind. Cheer up. Everything will be all right.“
Note: paper records identify this man as Mr Tugham - I think it is Con Ingham. See EP272 “Are You a Lip-reader?“ His catch phrase seems to be - “That’s right!“ There is also a note that these are “unjoined cuts.“
