What happened when a school in London opened which was only for black children?

Those claim that the British educational system discriminates against black pupils sometimes suggest that a segregated school would be better, where black children were surrounded with black teachers and black role models. This experiment was tried in the London Borough of Haringey some years ago at the John Loughborough School.
