Composed by Enrique Forte: A Tribute to Belisario Roldán Belisario Roldán (Buenos Aires, 1873 - Alta Gracia, 1922) Poet, novelist, playwright and Argentine speaker who belonged to the last generation of romantic movement. He completed high school in the Central National College and in 1889 joined the faculty of Law and Social Sciences, but failed to exercise the legal profession and devoted himself to journalism. He was an outstanding speaker who crossed national borders and was honoured in Spain. In 1902 he was elected deputy to the National Congress by the metropolitan district; Moreover, he held other public positions. In 1910 the Royal Academy of the Spanish Language appointed corresponding member. Among his works include volumes of poems, stories and dramas: Enchanted path (1912), Llamas at night, bitterness Tales (1919), Under the touch of linen ( 1920), the Venus de arrabal (1920), The dagger of the troubadours, The rose from the ruins, Contagious (dramatic comedy in three acts), Mister Franck, When dies the day, to the summits, light fire, The Bronze, The lord mayor, The Trickster of women and the virgin purity. In 1922, victim of a serious illness, he decided to commit suicide.
