Live concert: HERBSTKONZERT DER REIHE «VIER JAHRESZEITEN» - SCHOLA CANTORUM BASILIENSIS at KLOSTERKIRCHE KÖNIGSFELDEN (Aargau, Switzerland) Seasons of Love: Music from the 14th Century... A program of medieval love poetry. It focuses on the works of the 14th-century composer Guillaume de Machaut, a man who was equal parts composer and poet. Like our name suggests, Parlamento brings two parties into dialogue with each other. Along with the vocal and instrumental Machaut settings in our program, we highlight the Italian composers of the next generation, such as Johannes Ciconia and Anthonello da Caserta, who reinterpreted Machaut’s works for their own people at their own , Parlamento’s lute, fiddle, flute and voice combine to express the full spectrum of human love, which transcends nation and time.
