Hardy Gingers

Here is a list of beautiful winterhardy gingers (Zingiberaceae). Hedychiums and Cautleyas are most hardy and a very popular tropical garden plant because of the stunning flowers and exotic looking leaves. There are a few other beautiful Zingiberaceae that can take some frost and are worth a try. Beside this list there are many more hardy species and hybrids for the garden.
