Whether dogs or horses, these animals deserve every bit as much of respect as every police officer. The heartbreak we can feel over those who give their lives for us may even be more for those who serve on four legs. For that reason, Charlotte the Police Horse deserves as much media attention as the other officers who have fallen in the line of duty recently. Charlotte had been serving for more than four years.
