Charley Wu: Generalizing from sparse data and learning from other people

Charley Wu’s talk “Generalizing from sparse data and learning from other people“ is part of the colloquium of the Cluster of Excellence “Machine Learning: New Perspective for Science“ at the University of Tübingen. Charley Wu is Head of the “Human and Machine Cognition Lab“. His research studies the specific shortcuts and cognitive algorithms that people use to make inference tractable. His work seeks to narrow the gap between human and machine learning.
