Oyster Filtration Demonstration - High Phytoplankton Concentration

The same amount of unfiltered seawater from Bogue Sound, NC was added to each of the tanks, along with 15ml of concentrated algae to simulate high phytoplankton concentrations. The tanks had 0, 10 (low density), and 40 oysters (high density). Still photographs were taken every 5 minutes for 10 hours, along with a final photograph at 17 hours.
