FAVELA RADICAL

During our last trip to Brazil we spent a day with a local organization ’Favela Radical’ just surfing and playing soccer with a group of kids that had come down from hours away. Seeing how much they appreciated surfing, and how stoked they were just to be in the water was pretty incredible. You could see how much it meant to them just to have the opportunity to spend a full day outside enjoying themselves and learning something new. The organization has such a good thing going, and it was pretty awesome to see first hand how Machu Picchu supports what’s they do. We left with a lot of perspective. It was a good reminder of how lucky we are to do what we do as surfers.
