Mountain Silence is a female vocal and instrumental ensemble from Switzerland, Germany and Austria, who sing Sri Chinmoy’s songs with the accompaniment of violin, cello, harmonium and guitar. They have performed throughout Europe at many different locations. The pillars of this vocal and instrumental group are Gunthita (guitar) and Dundubhi (violin and erhu). The band was founded in 1984, and since then they have released quite a few CDs. Swiss, German and Austrian musicians give concerts all over Europe, mainly in churches and festivals.
