Aviation Highlights AMS: 30x CloseUp Landing & TakeOff

Dear friends, thanks for waiting a long time for our next plenespotting video! We came back to Amsterdam Schiphol Airport. I hope you enjoy our new video. Some information about a few interesting airplanes we caught during our planespotting session: EC-NFQ Plus Ultra A34-600 A nice guest on our trip to Amsterdam was the Plus Ultra A34-600, which came for a charter for TUI Airlines Netherlands. The A340-600 began its life in September 2009, where Serial Number 1040 was delivered to Etihad. After 8 years of service, the A340-600 got stored in Teruel. On July 13th, 2018 the aircraft was handed over to European Aviation, where the A340 was partly stored and partly flying freight. On January 2020 the aircraft was handed over to Plus Ultra Airlines. Due to Corona, the aircraft had to be stored at Madrid Barajas and Frankfurt-Hahn Airport. Luckily the A340-600 was capable to fly a lot of cargo, so Plus Ultra partly flew cargo flights across the world together with EC-NFQ. Today EC-NFQ, 1040 is actively flying for Plus Ultra. XA-ADL Aeromexico 787-9 Quetzalcoatl: This is the special livery of Aeromexicos first 787-9 and it is named Quetzalcoatl (meaning “Feathered Serpent”), a godess of pre-Hispanic Mexico. Aeromexico’s Quetzalcoatl plane left the Boeing Aircraft Paint Hangar after a nine- day process, six days longer than expected, as the engineers found that they needed extra time to add all of the original hues and colours featured in the winning design.
