TERENCE CRAWFORD (USA) vs KELL BROOK (UK) TKO FIGHT

Welcome, guys, thanks for joining me again in this update. I hope you’re all well. So, the fight between Terence Crawford and Kell Brook took place on November 14th, 2020, at the MGM Grand Conference Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. This welterweight bout was highly anticipated as Crawford defended his WBO welterweight title against the seasoned former IBF welterweight champion Brook. Crawford, known for his versatile boxing style, switch-hitting ability, and precise punching entered the fight with an undefeated record and a reputation as one of the top pound-for-pound fighters in the world. A former IBF welterweight champion, Brook was seen as a formidable challenger with significant experience and power, although he was considered an underdog against Crawford in this particular fight. Despite this, the fight began with Brook landing clean shots with his jab and actually outboxing Crawford. He seemed to have the slight edge early on and was able to bring in his backhand after doing some good work with the jab. Now this was short-lived because Crawford immediately adapted to this by pressing Brook more and also switching to Southpaw to negate Brook’s advantage with the jab. This also opened up new angles for punching and enabled Crawford to bring in his right hook. Crawford delivered a stunning right jab that caught Brook off guard and served as the catalyst to end the fight. Now Crawford has moved up from Welterweight, where he displayed his dominance as the undisputed champion and now sets his eyes on the same accolade at Super Welterweight. He’ll be facing Israil Madrimov on Aug 3rd in a 12-round Championship fight where Madrimov’s WBA Super belt and the Interim spot for the WBO title are up for grabs. The winner could potentially be matched with Fundora to challenge for his WBO belt shortly thereafter.
