Grenfell Tower report: Fire was caused by ’systematic dishonesty’ of cladding firms

The deaths of 72 people in the Grenfell Tower fire in June 2017 were “all avoidable”, the chairman of the inquiry into the disaster has said. A final report released found the fire was caused by the “systematic dishonesty” of construction companies that manufactured the cladding for the tower block’s refurbishment.
