This unique film captures Magda Olivero at the AGE OF 92 YEARS singing the Panis Angelicus at a Church Service to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the death of the soprano Maria Callas. Accompanied by a tenor and the Church organ in 2002. This is truly amazing----the Glory of the Human Voice!! Magda Olivero’s voice is pure and projected cleanly and powerfully. Olivero’s delivery of the piece is breathtaking ---at the age of 92. Breathtaking at any age! Brings a lump to the throat and a tear to the eye. I BELIEVE THIS IS A MEMORABLE PIECE OF MUSICAL HISTORY and we are most fortunate to have it preserved on film.
