Callas commits crimes against humanity (1959, BEST SOUND)

Maria Callas sings the blood-curdling final act of Cherubini’s Medea. This 1959 London performance has generally stood in the shadow of the exceptionally inspired 1958 Dallas recording. Nevertheless, the far superior sonics of the London recording and Callas’s complete dramatic and vocal commitment make it a special treasure in the Callas catalog. I have tried to bring out maximal clarity and dimension from the sound using various equalizing and stereoizing techniques. 0:00 Introduction 4:20 Numi, venite a me! 10:14 Del fiero duol 14:33 Neris, che hai fatto tu del dono mio? 16:20 E che?
