Accrington Stanley grabbed their first win of the 2020/21 season with a 7-0 victory over Leeds United Under-21s. Debutant Tariq Uwakwe grabbed an impressive hat-trick, with loanee Ryan Cassidy also bagging a brace against a very young Leeds side. Cameron Burgess and Dion Charles also got their names on the scoresheet to secure all three points for the Reds in this season’s first game of the EFL Trophy.
