Slovenia: Tear gas and water cannon deployed against COVID restrix protesters in Ljubljana

The protest comes as the Slovenian government has stepped up COVID measures, announcing mandatory vaccination for all government employees and introducing compulsory COVID passes in hospitals and places of work as well as almost all service establishments, including shopping malls and restaurants. On Thursday, Slovenian authorities temporarily suspended the administration of Johnson & Johnson COVID vaccine following the death of a 20-year-old woman who fell sick after receiving a jab.
