Dory Funk Sr vs Abe “King Kong“ Kashey 1950’s Texas professional wrestling wild action

Here Dory Funk Sr takes on Abe “King Kong“ Kashey in a match of All Time Greats from Texas. This is my transfer from the silent 16mm film I recently obtained. This is one of my latest purchases that I was able to make thanks to the support of the Youtube ads and DVD’s I sell. This is the only known film of Dory Funk Sr in action. Funk is the heel here and shows why he was one of the greats of the 50’s and 60’s. He would go on to own the Amarillo territory and be the top star. Whether he was wrestling or brawling and a heel or face he could do it all in the ring. While a face here, Kashey was one of the top heels of the 30’s and 40’s. It’s also interesting that both would have their children follow them. Dory Jr and Terry Funk would both have excellent careers and hold the NWA Championship.
