Saudi Arabia flexes its military muscle

While the soldiers were learning how to better coordinate their actions, with a strong focus on anti-terrorist operations, Saudi diplomats were busy strengthening ties with their allied counterparts. Indeed, the Saudi monarchy seems keen to display its rank as one of the region’s geopolitical heavyweights. But beyond the wars in Syria, Yemen and Iraq and the fight against terrorist groups, one country appears to be in the crosshairs of these military and diplomatic manoeuvres: Iran.
