’60s garage 45 by Foamy Brine on their own Brine label (Brine 101). 1967 release, can’t find much info about them, there is a Teen Dance ad from 1966 that shows them playing with The Souls, who put out a great teen 45 ’Diamonds, Rats and Gum’ on Pharaoh as Christopher and the Souls. These bands were from the Texas Valley and I’ve seen the name W.R. Lynch associated with Foamy Brine.
The footage is from a ’70s driver ed film called ’Joy Ride’ it ends with the kids in an awful accident of course, but I wanted my kids to have a happy day out - steal a car, meet some girls, go for a drive. They probably returned the car later and then went home did their homework.
