Starmer pokes fun at McVey’s civil service ban LGBT+ rainbow lanyards
Keir Starmer could not help but poke fun at Esther McVey’s proposed LGBTQ rainbow lanyard ban.
The Labour leader sarcastically joked that the minister’s planned ban on lanyards fit perfectly with Rishi Sunak’s plan to protect the country from external threats.
The prime minister responded by defending his government’s plans to raise defence spending to 2.5% of GDP.
