Shootout of PHILIPS 12“ Fullrange Speakers AD1265 M4 and AD12202. AD1265 M4 “The Dutch“ as I was made in The Netherland and AS12202 M4 “The Belgian“ as it was made in Belgium. Testing the 2 speakers under an identical situation and playing Jazz, Orchestra, Piano, Ambient, Vocal, HipHop and Rock as a reference. Both units are presumably made in the early 70’s and share almost identical dimension. However, The Belgian has got larger and thicker magnet (ferrite ), and on its edge it has got an extra layer of surround. This increases the mass of the diaphragm. In the middle of this video, you can also check the difference of the sound of the diaphragms.
