The Greatbow (Dark Souls) - Would it Work in Real Life?

In this video I discuss the way the Dragonslayer Greatbow in Dark Souls is anchored to the ground to shoot giant arrows (lances?). Obviously just for entertainment, but I tried to make it as informative as possible.
