Artists: Jan Boland, flute / John Dowdall, guitar / Carey Bostian, cello This performance of Nathan Kolosko’s four-movement Hungarian Trio featured Red Cedar Trio members flutist Jan Boland, guitarist John Dowdall and cellist Carey Bostian on October 4, 2015 at First Presbyterian Church in Cedar Rapids, Iowa as part of the Mostly Folk Inspired concert. Mostly Folk Inspired opened Red Cedar Chamber Music’s 20th season and featured duos, trios and quartets performed by Boland, Dowdall and Bostian along with violinist Miera Kim. Kolosko’s Hungarian Trio mixes Hungarian and Klezmer themes to achieve a richness in spirit and energy that finds great appeal with audiences.
