In the basket of mysterious 50’s records and performers you can find Bobby Lollar who recorded in 1958 “Bad Bad Boy“ pour “Benton“, a tiny records label from Tennessee that produced only two singles in the 50’s. Even if that record is a much sought-after item for collectors worldwide, nothing was knew about Bobby until his name came on Bob Timmers’ “Rockabilly Hall of Fame“. Bobby belongs like Billy Wayne, Eddie Bush, Larry Brinkley or The Stewart Brother to the Jackson’s Rockabilly history. That town brings us some great names like Carl Perkins, W.S. Holland, Kenny Parchman or Carl Mann but the lack of recording facilities and records labels made the best singers and musicians to move to Memphis or Nashville. Nevertheless, some fabulous records on tiny labels like “Jaxon“, “Lu“ or “Hill-Crest“ were cut and there was plenty of work in the local Honky-Tonk and Clubs. Like Carl Perkins, Bobby Lollar was a sharecropper son, beans and potatoes feed, Tennessee bread and grown. Bobby lives in Trenton (Ten) and he is ready to rock your shoes.
