This song is about the Second Great Chollima March (제2의 천리마대진군) movement of the DPRK, which was announced during times of crisis in the 90s. The Chollima movement was a Stakhanovite type cultural and ideological movement in the DPRK intended to promote rapid economic development. The first movement was in the 1950s as part of the first five-year plan and is also mentioned in this song. A “Chollima“ is a mythical winged horse in East Asian cultures which is said to move rapidly and cover 1000 miles in a day.
